Open Board Positions:

Registrar – Executive Board Member

The Registrar is responsible to the Executive Committee for acting as the SportLoMo champion and a subject matter expert during registration processes.

  •  Provide a list of registered athletes to each Team Manager and Coach, as well as Tournament Coordinator, when appropriate.  
  • Oversee and assist parents in registering players
  • Attend all appropriate CRUSH club meetings and AGM’s, and maintain a current knowledge of CRUSH Policies and Procedures.
  • Create team sheets in SportLoMo

Treasurer – Executive Board Member

The Treasurer works closely with the Executive Committee for overseeing all financial transactions going in or out of CRUSH.

  • Works with the Executive Committee in budget planning; prior to the start of the season. 
  • Maintain up to date and accurate financial reporting
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing funds
  • Seek approval for all outgoing payments from at least two Executive Committee members. 
  • Provide cheques/e-transfers for outgoing funds.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of CRUSH Policies and Procedures.
  • Produce a final report for the yearly AGM
  • Communicate Team Budgets with Coaches
  • Process expense reports
  • Work with Secretary to complete the gaming applications

 

Open Volunteer Positions:

Tournament Coordinator

The Tournament Coordinator is responsible to the Executive Committee for ensuring that all CRUSH tournaments operate efficiently and in accordance with VolleyballBC, and for the management, allocation and applications of away tournaments for all CRUSH teams. 

  • a) Work closely with the Team Managers, Coaches and Treasurer to ensure that tournament plans and financial requirements and limitations are adhered too. 
  • b) Procure as many tournament and play day opportunities as possible or as finances dictate. This would involve: 
    • Communicating with VolleyballBC and other clubs within our region to obtain tournament and exhibition game opportunities prior to the season start and throughout the season.
    • Communicating with Coaches and the Executive Committee to draw up a fair schedule of tournaments for U12-U18 teams
    • Be responsible for scheduling, rescheduling, applications and cancellation of all tournament and exhibition games. 
    • Set up annual Super Series with VolleyballBC located in Campbell River. 
  • Provide copies of tournament schedules to Team managers, Coaches, Communications Coordinator, and any member of CRUSH (if requested) 
  • Communicate with Coaches to determine any desire for tournaments beyond the team budgets; then communicate with Fundraiser Coordinator to fundraise accordingly. 
  • Communicate with Gym Coordinator to establish home tournament schedule 
  • Complete all team rosters for VolleyballBC events; a requirement to register for VBC events.
  • Communicate tournament schedule with Secretary.

 

Fundraising Coordinator

The Fundraising Coordinator is responsible to the Executive Committee for ensuring that all CRUSH fundraising operates efficiently and strictly adheres to the rules set out by the BC Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch. 

  • Apply annually for grants (ex: BC Ferries Sport Experience Program for Ferry travel expenses)
  • Advise and monitor CRUSH volunteers and Team Managers on fundraising activities 
  • Communicate with Treasurer
  • Organize and facilitate fundraisers for CRUSH to ensure no overlap of fundraisers, 
  • Submit confidential Criminal Record Check to Secretary.
  • Collect annual team fundraising budgets from coaches. Mentor coaches with fundraising process.
